Saija Lodge offers a remarkable family-friendly experience in the serene landscapes of northeastern Finland. During our stay, we engaged in various activities that allowed us to connect with nature and enjoy quality time together. One of the highlights was the canoeing trip at night, where we explored the tranquility of the waterways. As a wildlife conservationist, I appreciated the chance to observe nature and its inhabitants from a different perspective, which sparked lively conversations with my family. We also visited nearby National Parks that served as hiking paradises. We found trails suitable for all ages, inviting us to embark on family adventures while learning about the local ecosystem. The lodge itself fosters a welcoming environment, encouraging connection among families. My children made new friends during our stay, and we all enjoyed meals together in the restaurant, which offered both communal and private seating options to accommodate different preferences. For families seeking an authentic Finnish experience filled with adventure and opportunities to embrace nature, Saija Lodge is an excellent choice. We look forward to returning in the future to create more lasting memories in this beautiful expanse.
